John ArmatoOriginally from Los Angeles, John Armato earned a BM in guitar (with Ray Chester) and later a MM in lute performance (with Mark Cudek) from the Peabody Conservatory of Music. In Baltimore, Mr. Armato performs regularly with the Peabody Renaissance Ensemble, Peabody Consort, National Gallery of Arts Vocal Ensemble, and is a co-founder of Heaven's Noyse. He has appeared on national television in Taiwan with counter-tenor Peter Lee, on WYPR’s "Maryland in the Morning,” and recently with soprano Rosa Lamoreaux and Baritone William Sharp at the French Embassy. Mr. Armato's recording of Francesco Da Milano's "Recercar no. 33" will appear in a short film "Heloise: From Hell and Back for Love.” In 2010, Mr. Armato performed with the Peabody Consort in a tour through Taiwan and Japan, including performances at the Kaoshiung Cultural Center, Chi-Mei museum in Tainan, the National Concert Hall in Taipei, and Suginami Kokaido in Tokyo, Japan.
